Magazine advertisment for an Album.

This an example of a Magazine advertisement of an Album from adele. I feel that a colourful image would take away the vulnerableness of the album as it features songs such as love songs and breaking up. A black and white image gives Adele some sense of vulnerability and shows her soul off much better. I am definetly going to use a black and white image on the album cover and advertisment. The advertisment is very similar to the album cover but i feel this is really effective and works really well.

AS Media Magazine...

This is the Magazine I created for AS media, cover, contents page and double page spread.

This is the magazine that I created when I was in AS media; I got the choice to do either a video or a magazine. As you can see I decided on creating a magazine which was a music magazine that I later called PULSE I had a few drafts of the magazine, changing colours, font style and size and the main image but I finally came to the conclusion that this is the best one I created and this ended up being my final piece. I decided on the colour turquoise after a debate of using other colours such as re4d. I felt like I made the best decision in this situation. I really enjoyed making this magazine but feel now I know a lot more about the software (Photoshop) and my abilit6y has definitely changed so I could do a lot better this time around.

Pitch, Proposal and Project Brief

In the half term for college we were given the task to create a proposal, pitch and three inspirational texts that I feel influenced me during the thought process of what brief I was going to follow.

Pitch

The brief I have chosen to base ideas on is brief number 1, which I will produce a promotion package for the release of an album to include a music prom video together with the chosen two to follow; a cover for its release and a magazine advertisement. I chose this brief as I felt it suited my ability and personality, I am very into music of many genres and felt I could put my knowledge and experience of music and my skills in making videos ad using software together to follow this brief. After listening to music a lot I know myself the diversity on genres and their videos, which I think will help in my favor. I will ensure that the music video has a clear storyline to follow or message that is clear and easy to understand, and which viewers could maybe relate to the reality of the video. I am really looking forward to making this brief a center start of an amazing video.

Proposal

I intend to make my music video as realistic as possible focusing on the song and storyline with the video. I will use one girl and one boy and extras if needs be. I will make sure the video reflects the importance of the story and song. as  a location I will film some of the scenes in a house which also makes it a lot easier as the lights can be set up on location. I also have the idea of presenting the video as a projection shot like the video by emeli sande and labyrinth which I find really good. The entire cast with be wearing casual day clothes that they have chosen themselves, again emphasizing the realistic theme of the video.

The storyline of my video basically is…between a women and a man, I want to show their life struggles how they are struggling with the terms of the honesty and commitment of a relationship. I will show their memories and struggles and how their life has changed in a period of time from the ‘honeymoon period’ into their day-to-day life. I will show how everything is lost then no matter how someone try’s and how hard they try to fix something that is broken there is no changing something. The girl will be shown trying her best yet the boy will be shown and portrayed as not caring.  The truth will come out how he has been with anther girl. 

This year for my A2 Media coursework we were given many briefs that we had th choice of to choose from, i decided to do brief one:
